Loaded Language is language designed to evoke a specific response from an audience by using words that influence their emotions or by the use of stereotypes.
Emotional appeal is language or images which appeal directly to the audience's emotions. Designed to evoke a sympathetic response.
"The Bandwagon" appeals to the audience's fear of missing out by making them feel they are not part of the in-crowd. For example, an advert for a new product may show that "everyone" has it in order to make the viewer feel they have to buy the product to fit in.
Patriotism Patriotic advertising uses nationalistic text and imagery (e.g, saying a product is "Made in Britain").
Weasel Words are words which implies impossible claims whilst stop short of actually making them. For example, a cereal which contains "almost no sugar".
Snob appeal: appealing to an audience's sense of perceived superiority in which they seek a certain aspiring lifestyle of exclusiveness.
Rhetorical questions are questions which have a single, obvious answer the viewer can infer.
Unique Selling Point: when a product is advertised as having a feature that sets it apart from similar products.

Semiotics
What is semiotics?
Semiotics is the use of signs and symbols to imply another meaning.
What is a signifier?
A signifier is a sign or symbol which suggests a greater meaning.
What is Signified?
The signified is the idea or concept that an audience infers from a signifier.
Why is semiotics useful in advertising and why do advertisers use 'signs'?
Semiotics can be used to get a point across simply through the use of images.
Using semiotics can also make the audience believe that they have logically come to the conclusion themselves rather than having it explained to them.

I don't think either of the adverts are that effective. Most people would know the possible consequences of their actions when they take risks such as speeding in towns or texting whilst driving. Both the adverts are quite shocking but I don't believe they'd be enough to prevent the incidents they depict.
The advert is all about drawing attention to motorcyclists, who drivers often forget to look for whilst driving which causes many accidents. The ad draws attention to the bikers by giving them huge neon signs.
The bikers are presented as 'Plain Folk', they're all referred to colloquially by thier first names.
The advert uses pathos, the neon signs tell us about the motorcyclists, showing their names and giving an insight into their lives with specific details such as "NEW DAD", so that we can empathise with and relate to them.
